The election took place in the Kyrgyz Republic

Today, in the Kyrgyz Republic take place the process of check further details on the results of parliamentary elections. But now the balance is clear. According to preliminary data, the Social Democratic Party won in Kyrgyzstan. This party received 26.8% of votes. The party follows the principles of social democracy. The party supports the pro-Russian line in foreign policy. But a lot of times were seen they trying to realize quite liberal reforms.

21.15% goes to the political party Republic - Ata Jurt (Fatherland). Before the elections were conducted studies of various research organizations, such as IRI. According to their forecasts the Republic of Ata Jurt had high chances to be if not the first, but the second party in parliament. In fact what happened. Party preaches republican principles. However, the party has a very liberal program.
Party "Kyrgyzstan" received 12.42% of votes. Such an achievement Party surprised many people in the country, as it is believed that this party is not exactly known and famous. However, during the election campaign, the party spent a lot of direct meetings with voters. At this party worked many pop stars. This may explain these results. Some analysts believe that Kyrgyzstan - a project of the Social Democratic Party.

Onuguu Progress Party won 9.1% of votes. The candidates of the party for the most part represent the regions and have strong regional support. The party program has the character of statist and centrist.
Party Bir Bol (Be as one) got 8.5% of votes. The program also statist party. Emphasis of the Party have aside situational position. But the party composition of the candidates suggested substantial support from the southern regions with high population density. Also in the game there are influential politicians.

One of the oldest party in the country - Atameken (Fatherland) received 7.7% of the vote, which was expected, according to the forecasts of researchers, but the surprise for many political scientists. Conform to the party program is not socialism, but it is statism, and conservatism with elements of protectionism. The Party has always maintained a significant number of public sector employees and pensioners. Socialist party often accused of contacts with the US administration. It was expected that this time the party will show significant results. But it was clear that the former party's influence diminishes. Does this decline of US influence in the region or not is impossible to say for sure. However, we should pay tribute to the Russian propaganda tools. It is effective.

All parties have a consensus in the foreign position of the Kyrgyz Republic in relation to Russia. All parties have the most centrist and statist nature of the platform. SDPK and Ata Jurt-Republic may hold, however, the liberal reforms.

New people in the parliament got a little. Basically it turned businessmen, TV stars, journalists. Economists and legal experts are not represented by a lot.

But overall, the elections were clean and honest. Electorate biometric identification system  have repeatedly prevented the carousel - the method of voting in different polling stations by the same people. Many people in the country have agreed that these elections - the most honest elections in comparison with what it was before. Personally, I am glad that in 2012-2013 I participated in the drafting of the biometric voter identification. Nice to see that the project is implemented and given the relatively good result.

Soon will be updated election results, but I do not think they will be very different from the preliminary data. The election took place. They were democratic. Now, we have a lot of work to rectify the economic situation in the country and I hope that this work will be aimed at attracting foreign investors and creating better conditions for business and development.

Falls and Rises: How Gold Prices Changed in Kyrgyzstan in June and Since the Beginning of 2025

14:00, July 10, 2025, Bishkek – 24.kg, Nargiza TOKOEVA Recently, global gold prices have been rising at an unusually rapid pace, repeatedly hitting record highs. The market has now somewhat stabilized. The surge in demand for the precious metal has been driven by several powerful factors: Aggressive purchases by central banks (especially BRICS countries) aiming to reduce dependence on the US dollar; Global geopolitical and trade tensions (tariff wars, sanctions, and regional conflicts); Weakening of the US dollar. All of these factors have made gold more attractive as a safe-haven asset. According to the London market, the most recent record was set on April 22, 2025, when the price of one troy ounce reached $3,434 on the London exchange. However, Kyrgyzstan recorded its highest local gold price on June 16, 2025. On April 23 — the day global gold prices hit a historical high — the National Bank of Kyrgyzstan set the price at 305,507.5 soms per ounce. But on June 16, the ...

Reviewing the past year’s performance, he noted: “The current year, 2024, has been an upswing for Kyrgyzstan’s economy. The government’s announced achievements have been justified: our state budget is now one trillion soms, and our GDP, for the first time in history, has reached $14 billion. I hope this upward trend continues every year. For a country like ours, a more appropriate level of GDP would be around $50 billion, with a per capita GDP of $5,000–$7,000. Currently, it stands at about $2,000—up from $1,260–$1,300 previously.” Sharsheev added that the Cabinet of Ministers has continued indexing salaries and social benefits: “Military salaries have gone up, with some officers now earning around $1,000, which is significant. Pensions have increased as well, and there are new benefits ...
